Nov. 2, 1934-June 30, 2008 Toronto, Ont./North Sydney, N.S. It is with great sorrow that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Leo John (Bud) Evans at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Toronto, Ont., at the age of 73. Born in North Sydney, N.S., he was the son of the late Leo Evans and Elizabeth (Adair) Evans. Bud was well known in the area as a fish merchant and later, owner-operator of Coxheath Dairy. He then moved to Ontario where he was employed by Shell Canada and Milton Auto Aucton. He is survived by his beloved Marjorie Bland, Toronto, Ont.; son, Kevin; daughter, Judy and grandson, Cole of Brampton, Ont. Bud will be deeply missed by his siblings, Elizabeth Starratt (late Ken), Truro, N.S., Jean Bragg (late Jack), North Sydney, and Robert (Donna), Sydney Mines, N.S.; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a wide circle of friends. He was predeceased by infant son, Kerry Lee. Interment was held at Beechwood Cemetery, Toronto, Ont. His infectious laugh, great sense of humour and tall ‘fish stories’ will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He always made sure you left with a smile on your face.
