63, Timberlea Richard Gordon Rizok, 63, of Timberlea, formerly of Sydney, passed away suddenly, July 9, 2008, in Timberlea, with his wife by his side. He was the only son of the late Rosalie Rizok and the stepson of Bill Jessome. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie (McPhee); children, Michelle (Michael Tighe), Halifax, Glenn, Sydney, Glenna, Halifax, Jonathan (Carrie), Lantz; mother of his children, Avon (Burdge) Rizok, Halifax; grandchildren, Cassandra, Sara, Liam, Lynden and Connor; stepchildren, Charlene, Sydney, Chris (Cheryl), Shubenacadie; step-grandchildren, Kreigan and Catherine; special aunts, Jeni Reeves (Eddie), Sydney, Mary Walsh, Florida; as well as his loyal dog, Koady. He was predeceased by grandparents, George and Stella Rizok, Sydney. Retired from Air Canada after 30 years, Richard enjoyed in his retirement, gardening, baseball, hockey, skating, and later, golf. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place Monday, July 14, 2008, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney from 12-2 p.m. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Douglas Murphy officiating.
