August 16, 1945 – July 17, 2008 Donkin It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Marge MacMullin on Thursday July 17, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of Phyllis and the late George Butts of Birch Grove. Marge was a member of St. Luke’s United Church and was a dedicated choir member for many years. She was a kind, gentle, and loving person and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Graham; sons, Rob (Lisa), Tantallon, N.S., David ‘Dee’ (Tracey), Oromocto, N.B.; and daughter, Kerri (Brendan) Bailey, Delta, B.C. Marge was very proud and much loved by her six grandchildren, Brett, Adam, Jessica, Amanda, Kalen and Mitchell. She is also survived by brothers, Dave (Wilma), Terry (Florence), Bruce, and George; and by sisters, Sandra (Sandy) Matheson, Linda (Wilfred) Campbell, Trudy (Stanley) MacKenzie and Judy (Reggie) Amadio. She is also survived by mother-in-law, Minnie MacMullin; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Cathcart and Bev Milley; and many nieces and nephews, including special niece and nephew, Lauren and Leigh Amadio. Besides her father, she was predeceased by a sister, Cathy Anne in infancy and father-in-law Tom MacMullin. Visitation will take place Saturday, July 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 20 at 2 p.m. from St. Luke’s United Church, Donkin. Burial will be in St. Luke’s United Church Cemetery with Rev. Michael Goodfellow officiating.
