Peacefully passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Jean. Loving father of Cora, Donna and Rob (Lynne). Cherished grandfather of Kurt, Valerie, Lori, Jason, Lori, Brandy and Steven. Proud great grandfather of Kurt, Alexandra, Madison and Evan. Survived by sisters, Freda (Matt) and Hilda (Tom) and brothers, Harry (Vivian) and Earl. Predeceased by sisters, Muriel, Jessie, Mildred, Dorothy, Helen and Gertrude (infancy) and brother, Harold. Jim was the founder and president of Clarke Roller & Rubber Ltd., Persista Polyurethane Products and Britannia Rubber Mfg. Ltd. He was also a co-founder of Ferla-Clarke Rollers Inc. and Brighton Custom Rubber Mfg. Ltd. Visitation will be held at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel & Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line (Dundas/403) in Oakville, 905-257-8822, on Tuesday, July 22 from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the Glen Oaks Chapel on Wednesday, July 23 at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior from 10-11 a.m. Interment Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens, with reception to follow.
