JOHN J. ROY

ROY, JOHN J. - The death of Mr. John Joseph Roy of Rothesay, husband of Rosemary (Monzerolle) Roy, occurred on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at his residence. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late Arthur and Leona (Tremblay) Roy. John had attended St. Malachy's Memorial High School and Saint John Vocational School, from where he graduated. John had been employed as a teacher at Saint John Vocational School in the Woodworking Department, from where he retired following 30 years of service. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in Rothesay. John is survived by his wife, Rosemary, two sons, Derek Roy and Grant Roy, both of Saint John, one brother, Leo (Clare) Roy of Saint John, two sisters, Patricia LeBlanc and Marie Gallant (Albert), both of Saint John and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and brothers, Amedee, Gordon, Alfred, Ronald, and Laurie, and a sister, Geneva Ronfrietsct. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, (634-7424), with visitation on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 20, 2003 at 12:00 Noon, from Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Rothesay. Interment will take place following cremation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Building Fund of Our Lady of Perpetual Help would be appreciated by the family. www.brenansfh.com
