CARR, BASIL CLINTON - The death of Basil C. Carr, age 55, of Geary, NB occurred on Tuesday, February 25th, 2003 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of Ena (Smith) Carr and the late Clinton Carr. Basil had a loving passion for trucking, friends and family. Survived by his mother, Ena (Robert) of Geary, NB; three sons, Jeffrey (Cathy) and Jack (Lisa) all of Geary, NB and Jody (Krista) of Burton, NB; two grandsons, Brandon and Hunter; one brother, Osborne (Cairina) of Geary, NB; one nephew, Ozzie Carr; one niece, Pamela Cyr and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a well liked man by many. Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday, February 27th, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Geary Lions Center on Friday, February 28th, 2003 at 11:00 am. Rev. Robert Foster officiating. Interment will be held in the Preston Carr Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Wilson, Weston, Harvey and Edison Carr, Bob Burtt and Malcolm Bennett. Honorary pallbearers will be: Eugene Drummond, Ron Robichaud, Larry Maxwell, Irvine Bridges and Jim McLeod.
