91, Sydney/Glace Bay It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing or Elizabeth Jean Davies, 91, of Harbourview Enhanced Care, formerly of Glace Bay, on July 22, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Victoria, Nfld., she was the daughter of Edward and Bess (Butt) Clark. Elizabeth was employed at the Seaview Manor. She was an active member of Warden United Church, the Ladies Guild and UCW. She was also an active member of Cullum LOBA Lodge and also a Past Mistress. Elizabeth is survived by two sons, Robert (Dorothy), James (Martha); daughter-in-law Myrna; one sister, Frances; two brothers, Harold and Lorne; and also by six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and aunt, Beatie MacDonald, New Waterford. Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband, Charles, son, Fred, sisters, Mary, Doris and Viola, brothers, Fred, Marcilln and Jim, great-grandsons, Matthew James and Douglas and great-granddaughter, Emily. Visitation for the late Elizabeth Jean Davies will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2008, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home & Chapel, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520. Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 24, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Martha MacDonald officiating. Burial to take place in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Glace Bay-Sydney Highway. Donations in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to a charity of choice. Online condolences may be made at www.mem.com.
