GILL, WINNIFRED MAE - The death of Winnifred Mae Gill, wife of A. W. (Bud) Gill, occurred on March 6, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in St. Stephen, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles Hinsdale and Irene Jessie (Hatt) (Hinsdale) Ferson. She was office administrator with Calp's Department Store before her retirement. Besides her husband she is survived by her brother Charles Hinsdale and his wife Holly of Windsor, ON, her sister Geraldine and her husband James Humphrey of Lepreau, NB, her grandchildren Lori Lee LeBlanc of Saint John, Jason Gary Smith and his wife Carrie of Toronto, ON, her great-granddaughter Paige LeBlanc, her special caregiver Marsha Saltzman, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Judy Smith and her step-father Burt Ferson. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Thursday from 7-9 PM and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2003, at 2:00 PM from Brenan's Chapel. Following cremation interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery in the spring.
