ARMSTRONG, SYLVIA - The death of Sylvia (Handeland) Armstrong, wife of the late John Armstrong of Pennfield occurred on March 14, 2003 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Born in Sauda, Norway, July 1927, she was the daughter of the late Kristen and Gertrude Handeland. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by four daughters and one son, Linda Armstrong of Sudbury, ON; Mary Craig of St. George, NB; Sonja Nagel of Victoria, BC; David Armstrong of Mascarene, NB and Susan Armstrong of St. George, NB. Also survived by two brothers, Clarence and George Handeland, two sisters, Sonja Glionna and Dagney Snow, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many relatives in Norway. Sylvia's great loves in life were her family. She loved making silk flower arrangements and gift baskets for her friends and church. She was an avid gardener. Following cremation, visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 18th from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Anglican Christ Church in Pennfield followed by the service at 3 pm with Rev. Keith Osborne officiating.
