ADCOCK, GEORGIE L. - Aged 83, formerly of 30 O'Brien Street, Saint John West, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2003 at Carleton Kirk Lodge after a period of failing health. She is the wife of Cyril J. Adcock of Ridgewood Veterans Wing. Born in North Bedque, P.E.I. she was the daughter of the late William C. and Anna M. (Leard) Schurman. Georgie was a graduate of Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown, P.E.I.. She worked in Toronto until her marriage in 1949 at which time she and her husband Cyril moved to Saint John. She helped her husband establish K & A Equipment in 1958. Georgie was a member of St. Mark's United Church. Surviving in addition to her husband Cyril is her only daughter Virginia Brown and her husband Robert of Saint John, one brother William (Billie) Schurman and his wife Lee of Palm Harbor, Florida as well as several nieces and nephews. At Georgie's request there will no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Private Family Interment will take place at a later date. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Carleton Kirk Lodge, NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
