JONES, CLAIRE MATILDA - The death of Claire M. Jones, wife of the late Howard S. Jones, occurred on March 18, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Cardiff, Wales, she was the daughter of the late John and Amy (Hoarwood) Lovering. She was a Brown Owl for over 20 years and loved gardening. She is survived by her daughters, Cora Higgins and her husband Allan of Rothesay, Patricia Brown and her companion Gordon Rapson of Clinton, ON, Elizabeth (Betsy) MacKnight and her husband George of Rothesay, her brothers Paul Lovering and his wife Jean of England, Arthur Lovering and his wife Jill of Wales, her grandchildren Paul, Amanda, Jenny, Leslie, Matthew, Katherine, Nicole, John and Abigail, her great-grandchildren Michelle, Stephanie, and Becky, two step great-grandchildren Ryan and Erin and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant son Robert James Jones and her brothers Stan, Robert and Peter Lovering. Although there will be no visiting, following cremation at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), the funeral service will be held on March 21, 2003, at 1:00 PM, from St. John's Stone Church.
