BURNETT, JESSIE A. - The death of Mrs. Jessie Almetta (Ward) Burnett, of Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, wife of the late Ernest Arthur Burnett, occurred on Friday, March 21, 2003 at her residence. Born in Salisbury, NB, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Mary (Tait) Ward. Jessie had dedicated her life to her family. She is survived by four sons, John L. (Marie) of Cambridge, ON, James S. (Darlene) of Saint John, NB, David B. (Lois) of New River Beach, NB, and Richard W. (Yolande) of Douglas, NB, four sisters, Ardella Wortman of Salisbury, NB, and Thelma DeCarten and Ruby Day both of Saint John, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, a son, Arthur, a sister, Hazel O'Brien, and her parents. By Jessie's request, a Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 24, 2003 at 3:00 PM from Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506) 634-7424.
