COX, VELMA KATHLEEN - The death of Velma Kathleen Cox, age 84, of Hampton, NB, occurred on Thursday, March 20, 2003 at the home of her daughter in Fredericton, NB.?Born in Castalia, Grand Manan, NB, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Mabel Guptill.?Her husband, Edgar Cox, predeceased her in 1988.?Velma was a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Hampton and was a member of Hampton Branch #28, Royal Canadian Legion for over 50 years.?Velma is survived by two daughters Carol Bray and Marion Beyea of Fredericton, NB; two sons Harold Cox of Hampton, NB and Phillip Cox of Sackville, NS; two sisters Betty Green and Lena Green of Castalia, Grand Manan; 12 grandchildren Marnie Schwarz, Mark Bray, Kari Dunfield, Robin Beyea, Sarah Beyea of Fredericton, NB; Martin Beyea of Coldwater, ON, Chantal Cox, Sheelagh Cox, Tim Cox of Hampton, NB and Stephanie Cox, Jennifer Cox, Heather Cox of Sackville, NS; six great grandchildren Charlotte Schwarz, Louise Schwarz, Lars Schwarz and Noah Schwarz of Fredericton, NB and Tara Beyea and Leila Beyea of Coldwater, ON.?Velma was predeceased by her brother Burton Guptill. Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm Sunday, March 23 at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 24 at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Kennebecasis River Road, Hampton with Rev. Ed Coleman officiating. A reception will follow the service.
