BERNARD EARL PHILLIPS
PHILLIPS, BERNARD EARL - Passed away March 22, 2003 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital, he was 79. Bernard Phillips, of Upper Woodstock, was born on September 14, 1923 in Yarmouth, N.S. to the late Frank and Lottie (McGrey) Phillips. Bernard was a 2nd World War veteran; he served from 1941-1944 over seas. Also, he was the former owner of Land of Floors. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Clark) Phillips, 6 children - Beatrice (Donald) Giberson of Wakefield, N.B., Larry (Eunice) of Fredericton, Joan (James) Galloway of Plymouth, N.B., Ronald Phillips of Richmond Corner, N.B., Mary (Lynn) Rosevear of Quispamsis, N.B., and Frederick (Patricia) of Upper Woodstock, N.B., one sister, Pearl Grant of Hartford, N.B., one brother, Donald (Joan) of Australia, 16 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one sister, Evelyn Delong and one grandson, Christopher Giberson. Resting at the Woodstock Wesleyan Church on Sunday, March 23, 2003, where friends may call 2:30-4:30 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 24, 2003 from the Woodstock Wesleyan Church at 2:00 pm Rev. Dale MacDonald will be officiating. Interment will take place in the Wakefield Cemetery at a later date. If you wish, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke, Cancer Society or Donor's Choice.
