GILBERT JENSEN
JENSEN, GILBERT - At Hotel-Dieu of Saint Joseph Hospital, Perth-Andover, April 2, 2003, Mr. Gilbert E. Jensen of New Denmark passed away at the age of 80 years. He was the husband of Sadie Jensen. Born at New Denmark in 1922, he was the only child of Neils and Bertha (Dutton) Jensen. Mr. Jensen was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Plaster Rock Branch 29. Besides his wife, he is survived by five daughters, Jane Hansen (Carrol) of New Denmark, Charlotte Ruest (Maurice) of Grand Falls, Shirley McGowan (Jim) of Peterborough, Ontario, Betty Pelletier (Richard) and Marsha Michaud (John Lafrance) of New Denmark, four sons, Frank (Charlotte) of New Denmark, Dale (Donna Ond) of Oromocto, Davie (Lori) of Calgary, Alberta and Paul (Yvonne Sewell) of Grand Falls, 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, at the church, from 1-2 p.m. His funeral will be held Saturday, April 5th at 2 p.m. from St. Ansgar's Anglican Church, New Denmark, with Father John Mills officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. There will be a legion service Friday at 7:30 p.m. For those who wish, donations to the St. Ansgar's general fund or the New Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated by the family. www.oregans.ca
