GALLANT, LEO - Mr. Leo Gallant, 81, of 477 Ironman Road, Miramichi, NB, passed away on April 4, 2003 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Acadieville, NB, son of the late Emanuel Gallant and Susan Richard. He was a Personal Manager with Fraser Sawmill & Woodlands and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Lions Club, Plaster Rock. Former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Plaster Rock. He is survived by his wife Rita; daughters, Charline Kelly (Gene) of Miramichi, Gisele Conway (Byron) of Burton; sons, Marc (Fran) of Orleans, Ont., Richard (Janice) of Scoudouc, Raynald (Wendy) of Ashville, N.C., USA, Eric (Claire) of Bon Accord, AB; brothers, Rene (Maria) Gallant of Derry, N.H., USA, Albert (Jacqueline) Gallant of Richibucto Village, NB; sisters, Lorraine LeBlanc of Abbotsford, BC, Theresa Arsenault of Shediac, and Lillian Gallant of Shediac. Also survived by eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael's Basilica, Miramichi, NB on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at 10 AM. Remains resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Interment in Acadieville Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Maher's Funeral Home, Miramichi, 773-4321.
