RICHARD PETER JACKSON
JACKSON, RICHARD PETER - With all his family by his side, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2003 at the Guelph General Hospital, in Guelph Ontario. Richard will be forever held in the hearts of his family - cherished husband to Rita, and blessed father to Lisa and Tara. Loved son to Rosalind Jean Rydzynski (England) and Peter C. Jackson (Australia). Devoted "Poppa" to Hannah, Aidan and Katie. Treasured brother to Daphne, Andrew, Stefan, Trevor, Clive, Sharon, Simon and Alan. Special sons-in-law Bruce and Robin. In June, 2001, Richard retired from Moosehead Breweries as an Engineering Technician after 21 years of dedication and hard work and thoroughly enjoyed himself travelling, fishing and golfing. Passionate for his chosen career in engineering, Richard held the position of CCETT Director for New Brunswick and was the current President Elect for the NBSCETT. A member since 1989, Richard has also served as Vice President and District Councilor for NBSCETT. Many thanks for the thoughts and prayers from all his friends and colleagues. Always a world traveler, Richard has made many special friends around the globe. His final resting place will include the places he loved - Saint John, New Brunswick, Guelph, Ontario, St. Petersburg, Florida and a golf course in Bermuda. Memorials will be held to celebrate his life on Saturday April 5, 2003 at 1pm at the home of Lisa and Bruce in Guelph, Ontario and on Wednesday April 9, 2003 at 6pm at the Royal Kennebecasis Yacht Club in Millidgeville, Saint John, New Brunswick. Donations in his memory can be made to the Kenyan Project (C/O Rita Jackson) to continue his commitment to the education of children in Kenya. Special thanks to all of the compassionate, kind and caring nurses of 5 West at Guelph General Hospital, the Saint John Regional Hospital Oncology Department, to his physicians Dr. John Yang, Dr. Sommerville, Dr. Hershberg, Dr. Carson, and Dr. Burnell and to Pastoral Care Minister Sharon Chapman of First Baptist Church, Guelph. May you always be watching over us with the Angels.
