DOWNS, MRS. ANNE - The death of Mrs. Anne Downs of 159 Visart St., widow of Robert J. Downs, occurred peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Sunday, April 20, 2003 after a brief illness. Mrs. Downs was born in Saint John, a daughter of the late William and Mary (Hayes) McNulty. Anne had many varied interests and was much loved by everyone. She was pre-deceased by her only brother, William "Bill" McNulty. She is survived by four children, Kimberly (Delbert Reid), Kevin (Dawn), Krista (Michael Horgan), and Kathy (Michael Wood), all of Saint John; one niece, Stacey (Mario) Salomone of Quispamsis; one sister-in-law, Connie McNulty of Quispamsis; great friends, Twyla Craft and Liz Proctor both of Saint John; cousin Mary McAllister of Saint John; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday morning at twelve o'clock. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. www.fitzpatrickfh.com
