MERRILL DONALD LOMAX

LOMAX, MERRILL DONALD - Peacefully, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on April 25, 2003, Mr. Merrill Donald Lomax, husband of Muriel (Thompson) Lomax of 6849 Route 1, Lepreau, NB. Born in Little Lepreau, on April 6, 1925, he was a son of the late William and Georgia (Wenn) Lomax. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived, besides his wife, by three daughters, Peggy (Lewis) Burke of Lepreau, Susan Aubin and Lorraine (Lowell) Donner, both of New River; two sons, Donald Lomax and Michael (Tracy) both of New River, NB; 9 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Clarence and Morton; one sister, Melba Hope. Merrill enjoyed wood crafts. He was a fisherman for 45 years, and loved the water. In the past few years, he enjoyed making headings for traps. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visiting on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9. The service will be held on Sunday at 2 pm from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with Pastor Tony Stoddard and Pastor Ben Warner officiating, followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery.
