VINCENT, DR. DONALD LESLIE - Dr. Donald Leslie Vincent of Pointe Claire QC passed away April 22, 2003, surrounded by his family. Loving husband of Doris Cairns. Cherished father of Linda (Pierre Pelletier), Leslie (Keith Field) and David. Beloved grandfather of Shauna (Jason Thompson), Cara, Rob, Paul, Karen and Michael, and proud great-grandfather of Charlotte. Born in Saint John NB in 1921, he was the son of Frank Leslie Vincent and Elsie Mabel Erb. He obtained his PhD in chemistry, taught at Acadia University, and then worked in research at the National Research Council in Halifax and later for Domtar in Montreal. Don was a lifetime member of the Baptist Church, first at Main St. Baptist in Saint John, and later at Lakeside Heights Baptist in Pointe Claire, where he was a trustee for many years. We will miss you. You will always be in our hearts. Visitation will be at Collins Clarke Funeral Home, Highway 20 at Cartier Avenue, Pointe Claire, QC Sunday April 27, 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service at Lakeside Heights Baptist Church, 275 Braebrook, Pointe Claire, Monday April 28 at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In remembrance, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Special thanks to caregivers at the West Island Manor, and to the staff at St. Mary's Hospital, for their excellent care.
