CLARA MARGARET RAE

RAE, CLARA MARGARET - Clara M. Rae of Davidson Lake Road, Dumfries passed away May 3, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born at Upper Hainesville on April 18,1912, she was a daughter of the late Alton and Mittie (Jones) Knox. Clara was a housewife, mother of six sons and storekeeper with her husband for over fifty years. Until recently, she has taken an active part in her community. She was a Charter and Life Member of the Women's Institute, and Life Member of the Anglican Church Women. Clara is survived by five sons, Glenden Rae (Greta), Fredericton, Clifford Rae (Joan), Calgary, Alberta, Arnold Rae (Doris), Cold Lake, Alberta, Aunden Rae (Barbara), Dumfries and Dr. Robert Rae (Daphne), Quispamsis; a brother, Paul Knox (Gwen), Upper Hainesville; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, C. Perley Rae, a son, Ronald Rae; a sister, Marion Clark and four brothers, Albert Knox, Fred Knox and infants Herbert and Harry Knox. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at 2 p.m. Pastor David Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Barony Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dana Rae, Darin Rae, David Rae, Andrew Rae, Neville Gosman and Anthony Hanson. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Clara, the family has suggested the Barony Cemetery fund.
