87, Sydney It is with heavy hearts that we announce Margaret’s passing on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born on June 21, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Jane (MacEachern) MacInnis of Alexandra Street. Margaret was a CWL member of St. Anthony Daniel parish for close to 50 years. Mom could be seen quite frequently sweeping the curb in front of her Alexandra Street home. “Never be late after it stormed or she would be out with the shovel.” She loved digging in her flower and vegetable gardens, giving most of her crops away to friends and family. A mother who gave everlasting love even when Alzheimer’s took away a huge part of her existence. She never complained even though we knew she was suffering with her illnesses. She is survived by her daughter, Cecilia; son-in-law, Brian Cooke, whom she loved dearly; son, Donnie (Agnes McNally); grandchildren, Anne Louise and Stephen Campbell and David Cooke; also a sister, Frances Peinsznski. She was predeceased by her husband, Dannie, sisters, Mary and Cecilia MacInnis, Lily (John MacKinnon), Shirley (Gordie MacKinnon), Theresa ‘Nuddy’ MacDonald, brothers, Jimmie (Kay), Donald (Marion), Johnnie Dan (Rita) and Alexander. Visitation for the late Mrs. Campbell will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8 at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony Daniel Church, Saturday, Aug. 9 at 11 a.m. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
