THORNE, OLIVIA (LIB) - The death of Olivia (Lib) Thorne of Newcastle Creek, NB occurred on Friday, May 23, 2003 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Coles Island, she was the daughter of the late Wellesley and Eva (Perry) Kierstead. Survived by a son David (Judy) of Fredericton, NB; three grandchildren Susan, Andrew and Alan; a brother Hazen Kierstead (Diane) of Cape Cod; a sister Bernice Slocum of Coles Island, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Lib was predeceased by her husband Harry N. Thorne in 1992; four brothers John, Lloyd, Victor and Everett; four sisters Freda, Junita, Jean, Eletta. Resting at Minto Funeral Home 327-3490 with visiting on Monday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 27th, 2003 from the United Baptist Church of Minto Interment to take place Coles Island Baptist Cemetery. Donations made to the United Baptist Church of Minto would be appreciated by the family.
