CHASE, ELDON ELWOOD - Eldon Elwood Chase of East Newbridge, N.B., born May 19, 1923 at Waterville York County, N.B. Died May 23, 2003 at D.E.C.H. Fredericton. He was a veteran of the 2nd World War and a Member of the Legion. Eldon was a woods worker most of his life and enjoyed playing fiddle music, his pride and joy was his family. Survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Aldora (Price), his daughter Eldena Gorman (Ralph) of Hanwell, his son Ervin (Cora) of Plaster Rock, N.B., one brother Winslow (Ramona) of East Newbridge, N.B., three sister-in-laws Dorothy, Flossie, and Marion. Grandchildren Melanie Beebe (Darren) of Thunder Bay, Julie and Evan Chase of Plaster Rock, Heather, Kelly and Mark Gorman of Hanwell. Great-grandchildren, Darrah and Brandon Beebe of Thunder Bay. Predeceased by his parents, seven brothers and one sister. Resting at The Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Rd, Jacksonville, N.B. where friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Sunday May 25, 2003. Funeral service will be held on Monday May 26, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. from the funeral home with Rev. Eric MacKinnon and Rev. Harold Price officiating. Interment will take place in the Woodstock Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
