ALEXANDER ROSS (87) MORRISON
MORRISON, ALEXANDER ROSS (87) - Passed away April 26, 2003 in Camdenton, Mo. USA. Born in Saint John, NB August 14, 1915, he was the son of the late Christopher and Sarah (Rowley) Morrison. He served in the Royal Canadian Armed Forces during WWII from 1938 to 1946. In 1952 he moved with his family to St. Louis, Mo. where Ross was employed with Safeway Truck Lines, retiring in 1977. He is survived by his wife, I. Ruby (MacGregor) Morrison. A son Lester (Sandi) of Lemay, Mo.; four daughters Sandra (Gerald) Fairies of Granite City, Ill; Christine (Dale) Wildhaber, of St. Jacob, Ill; Lynda (Robert) Randolph, and Sarah (Mitch) Bachtel, all of Camdenton, Mo; twelve grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; a brother Rowley Morrison; a sister-in-law Barbara Morrison; all of Saint John, NB as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by a brother C. Graham Morrison; a sister Nancy Morrison and a nephew Alexander "Sandy" Morrison. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on May 27, 2003 at Portland United Church, with Rev. Tedd Paw officiating. Reception following service. Interment will be at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, a donation may be made to Portland United Church or charity of donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
