85, Glace Bay It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Earl ‘Tucker’ MacInnis, 85, of Jones Manor, Glace Bay, for the past 22 years, on Thursday Aug. 7, 2008, at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex. Born in Glace Bay, Tucker was the son of the late Ronald and Sarah (MacDonald) MacInnis and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Tucker was a member of Knox United Church. He was employed as a security guard in Ottawa. Back in the 40s, he was a football and soccer player and coach for Mount St. Allison University. Besides his parents, Tucker was predeceased by one sister and two brothers. Visitation for the late Tucker MacInnis will be held in Patten Funeral Home & Chapel, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520, Saturday Aug. 9, 2008, from 12-2 p.m., with funeral service to take place at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ralph Johnston officiating. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Dominion Street, Glace Bay. A special thank you to Jones Manor and the nursing staff, to the doctors in the ER at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex and the nursing staff on third east; also to the paramedics and Tucker’s family Doctor Kodagoda for all the care and kindness that he gave to him and Harvey and staff of Patten’s Funeral Home.
