MELBOURNE "BUNNY" SPARKS

SPARKS, MELBOURNE "BUNNY" - Melbourne "Bunny" Sparks of Loch Lomond Road died peacefully at his residence on Tuesday May 27, 2003. He was born in Beaver Harbour but grew up and spent the greater part of his life in the North end of Saint John and Loch Lomond. He was the husband of Verlet Sparks and son of the late Hayward and Gertrude Sparks. "Bunny" was employed with the Saint John School Board for many years until retiring. He had a lot of interests which included playing his guitar and regularly appeared on CHSJ TV playing and singing with the Maritime Farmers. He was a kind and gentle person and will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. Survived by two sons, Melbourne (Pat) of Sarnia, Ont., David (Donna) of Fredericton, two daughters Bonnie Jean of Loch Lomond and Melanie (John) Craft of French Village. Also survived by 12 grandchildren; Tara, Rebecca, Chris, Tracie, Wade, Todd, Julie, Thumper, Darryl, Julie, Cheryl and Christine. Resting at A.W. Cavanagh Funeral Home, 91 Leinster Street (634-1712) with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in Cavanagh's Chapel followed by cremation and burial at a later date. Donations to the donor's choice would be appreciated. www.awcavanagh.com
