Ann Hawley (nee Aucoin)
Date de décès : 9 août 2008
54, New Waterford It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Hawley on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex. Ann was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend and grandmother to be. Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Leo Ben and Katie Mae (Chiasson) Aucoin of Cheticamp. Ann was the youngest of eight children. Ann attended Mt. Carmel School and graduated from Breton Education Centre in 1973. Her greatest moments in life were spending time with family and friends. Ann’s only son Brad was her pride and joy and they shared a special bond. She loved playing cards and board games with her nieces and nephews and listening to music, especially when the boys played in her basement. Ann is survived by her husband, Bennie Hawley; son, Brad (Angie); brother, Charles and her sister, Donna (Dutchie) Hogan, all of New Waterford. Besides her parents, Ann was predeceased by four brothers, Gerald, Norman, Daniel, Thomas and one sister, Loretta O’ Donnell. Ann was our angel and center of everyone’s life. Her spirit gave all of us the strength to help her through her long illness and even though she’s passed away her spirit will always inspire us. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith Street, New Waterford. The funeral mass officiated by Rev. Paul MacNeil will be celebrated on Thursday, August 14 at 11 a.m. in the Parish of St. Leonard, St. Michaels Church, River Ryan, followed by interment in the parish cemetery. All are invited to join the family for a reception at St. Agnes Parish Hall.
