CHASE, SUSAN G. - Susan G. Chase of Fredericton, NB, passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, NB on Thursday, May 29th, 2003. She leaves behind her best friend and devoted husband, Robert and loving daughters, Christina and Jacqueline at home. She is also survived by her parents Jack and Marie Wetmore and sister Heather (Allan) McGathey, all of Fredericton, as well as several aunts, an uncle, niece and nephews. Susan's lifelong passion was her dogs. She is a long term member and past president of the Fredericton Kennel Club and was at the time of her death the Treasurer of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of Canada. She was a dog show enthusiast, bred and raised champion dogs and traveled to shows extensively in Canada, the USA and England. For several years she taught tole painting classes to a select group of talented individuals and friends. Prior to this she was employed by several municipalities including the Village of New Maryland, where she was the founding Village Clerk. There will be no visitation by request. A private service will be held with interment at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Brad Little officiating. For those who wish memorial tributes may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
