JOURNEAY, GERALD WILLIAM 1910-2003 - Gerald Journeay passed away peacefully on June 9, 2003 at St. Catharines General Hospital in Ontario. Born in Weymouth Nova Scotia, Gerald was the late son of Charles and Bell Journeay (Smith). Gerald was an employee for 22 years with the Digby County Hydro in Nova Scotia before moving to Saint John, New Brunswick where he was employed for several years with Saint John Civic Hydro. Gerald is survived by his beloved wife Evelyn (Gates), his seven children, Jerry in Palm Springs, CA; Donna (Hansen) of Cathedral City, CA; Ralph (Della) of Welland, ON; Barbara (Cole) of St. Catharines, ON; Gary of St. Catharines, ON; Reg of St. Catharines, ON and David (Shelia) of Annapolis Royal, NS. Also survived by one brother Richard in Digby, NS, 17 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Gordon Journeay in 2000, daughter Vera in 1935, daughter Shirley in 1934, twin brother Harold, brother Foster and sister Catharine. Interment will take place at Riverside Baptist Cemetery Weymouth, NS.
