THOMAS ALMON HAWKINS
HAWKINS, THOMAS ALMON - Peacefully at his residence, following a brief illness, Thomas Almon Hawkins, husband of Anita P. (Young) Hawkins, loving husband and father, went home to be with his Savior on Sunday, June 15th , 2003. Born in St. Stephen, NB on November 21, 1948, he was a son of the late Almon and Elizabeth Ann (McDermott) Hawkins. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he is survived, besides his wife, by three daughters, Tammy (Mark) Lord of Fredericton, NB, Georgette Hawkins (Clay) of Pocologan, Mary Ellen (Randy) Bayers of Pennfield; two sons, John Hawkins of Pennfield, Kyle (Christa) Green of Mascarene; one step-daughter, Sheila (Hal) Hardy of Pennfield; 11 grandchildren, Brandon, Nathaniel, Emma, Chris, Kylee, Alexis, Emily, Shelby, Ryan, Vanessa, and Cody; three brothers, Harry and John (Phyllis) of Ontario and Arnold of Beaver Harbour; four sisters, Clara Turner of Ontario, Glenna Leighton of Pennfield, Delores Beers of Ontario and Lorraine (Bill) Stafford of Ontario; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pre-deceased by two sisters, Mary Irish and Vera French; three brothers, Adolphus Hawkins, Garland Hawkins and Raymond White. Tommy enjoyed travelling and feeding his birds. He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Fundy Weir Fisherman's Association. Resting at the Pennfield Baptist Church with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held on Thursday at 2 pm followed by a reception at the church. In Tom's memory, donations to the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care, or a charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family.
