ALBERT, RAYMOND G. - The death of Mr. Raymond Garfield Albert of Prince Edward Street, husband of Louise (Dorin) (Cyr) Albert occurred on June 18, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Allan and Jenny (Wilkinson) Albert. Raymond was employed with the City of Saint John as a heavy equipment operator, a veteran of WWII he had served in the Army from 1939-45 with the Saint John Fusiliers and overseas with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry and joined the Air Force from 1950-70 were he went overseas to Europe. He was a past member of the Markland Masonic Lodge Kingston, NS, R.C.L. Branch # 64. Besides his loving wife Louise, Raymond will be very sadly missed by his twenty children whom he bragged about to everybody he would talk to. He is survived by six sons; Stephen (Jo-Ann), Robert (Gladys) Crossman, Timothy (Joann), Allan (Angela) all of Saint John, NB, Raymond of Alberta and Daniel of Moncton, NB, two daughters; Jenny Strain of Terrace, BC and Cynthia Thorne of Gibsons, BC, stepchildren Linda (Ronnie), Lorna (Bill), Lorraine (Wilfred), Laura (Frank), Lois (Gill), Leona (Wendell), John (Aileen), Gary (Debbie), Mary (Al), Marlene (Bill), Darren (Louise), Luanne (Greg), Sandy (Mike), two sisters; Lillian Stein and Joy McKenzie both of Saint John, NB, grand children; Ashton, Ronalda, Donald, Adam, Tamara, Tinishia, Trent, Tyler, Tara, Robert, Cassandra, Jakob, Jasmine, Tanisha, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers; Donald and Percy and two sisters; Norma and Stella. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.
