86, Blackett’s Lake Marjorie Morrison, 86, of Blackett’s Lake, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Falmouth, she was the daughter of the late Lawson and Lillian (Wile) Stevens. She was a member of of Knox United Church, Blackett’s Lake. Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Gladys Marion, Blackett’s Lake; son, Roger (Pauline), Cochrane, Alta.; sisters, Pearl Winters, Kitchener, Ont., Christine Stevens, Walkerton, Ont.; brothers, Lawrence (Helen), East Bay, Robert (Sherry), Barrie, Ont., Ted (Anna), Fergus, Ont., Stuart (Lisa), Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren, William Marion, Rae Morrison, Ian Morrison and James Morrison. She was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm (Bud) Morrison, sisters, Kay Balsillie, Irene Flood and Josephine Ferguson. Visitation was held Sunday, 7-9 p.m. at Sydney Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will take place Monday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. at John Pringle Cemetery, Blackett’s Lake with Rev. Jackie MacDonald officiating.
