WIGHTMAN, BESSIE MAUDE (NEE HUNTER) - Peacefully, on May 29, 2003 at the Glebe Centre, Ottawa, ON. Predeceased by Arthur her husband of 55 years, baby daughter Anne and grandson Geoff, as well as siblings Muriel, Hazel, Clifford and Borden. Beloved mother of Bob (Peggy Colpitts), grandmother of Chris (Sherry McPhail) and Pete (Julie Ireton) and great-grandmother to Noah and Luke, all of Ottawa. Also survived by sister-in-law, Marjorie, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Born in Florenceville, NB, October 13,1905, she lived most of her life in Fredericton, NB, except for 1934 -1943, in Ottawa. She was deeply involved in the community as well as her extended family and spent most of her working career with the New Brunswick Association of Registered Nurses. In 1999 she left her many close friends in NB and moved to Ottawa to be near her immediate family. In memoriam donations to a favorite charity would be welcomed. A memorial service and committal will take place on July 10, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church in Fredericton, NB.
