COLLINGS, OPAL L. - The death of Opal L. Collings of Grand Bay, Westfield formally of Geary, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, July 7th, 2003. Born in Geary NB in 1918, she was the daughter of the late Wilford and Annie (Grasse) Allen; wife of the late James Collings. She was a member of the LOBA and the Evening Star 1147 and member of the Wesley United Church and the UCW Ladies in Browns Flat. Survived by her companion, Kenneth Starkey; one son, James (Gloria) of Grand Bay, NB, one daughter, Guila Inch (Allison) of Grand Bay, NB; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, husband, James, one brother, Orland Allen. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Select Community Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10th, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The memorial service will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 11th, at 2:00 pm. Rev. Dr. Mark Hatfield officiating and Rev. Robert Johnson assisting. Interment will be in the Upper Geary Cemetery.
