MARGUERITE ODESSA HATT
HATT, MARGUERITE ODESSA - Peacefully, following a brief illness, at Burlington, Ontario, on July 18, 2003, Mrs. Marguerite Odessa (Hennessey) Hatt, wife of the late Stanley Hatt, formerly of Blacks Harbour, NB. Born in Blacks Harbour, NB on July 24, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Myrtle (McDowell) Hennessey. Marguerite is survived by two sisters, Anne (Ralph) Gavin of Burlington, Ontario, Mary (Delphis) Comeau of Oakville, Ontario; three brothers, Burton Hennessey (Helen) of Miramichi, NB, John (Helen) Hennessey of Saint John, NB, and Eugene (Jackie) Hennessey of Barry, Ontario; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by one sister, Bernice Seelye and one brother, Frederick Hennessey. Marguerite was the co-owner of Stan Hatt's Restaurant in Blacks Harbour for many years. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Blacks Harbour on Wednesday at 11 am, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Visiting at the Funeral Home on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Vigil Prayer service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 7 pm.
