DOWD, MARGARET JULIANA "JULIE" - The death of Margaret Juliana "Julie" Dowd of Saint John, occurred July 25, 2003 at Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born at Saint John, daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Callaghan) Dowd. Julie was a school teacher at St. Thomas High School, Point Claire Beaconsfield, Quebec where she was Head of the Home Economics Department. She moved back to Saint John in 1975 where she operated a Day Care until 1991. Julie then studied computers and did research for Royal LePage in Toronto via the internet. In her spare time she volunteered with Hospice, enjoyed ceramics, sewing, cooking and she especially loved her pets. Julie is survived by four brothers Paul (Cheryl) of Kanata, ON, Peter (Crystal) of Upham, NB, Philip (Diane) of Toronto, ON, John R. (Judy) of Mississauga; one aunt Rita Monahan of Charlottetown, PEI; one niece and five nephews. ?? There will be no visiting by request. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, 1:00pm at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
