GILBERT, ROBERT W. - 1928 - 2003 - Robert W. Gilbert, of Moncton, passed away at The Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, August 1, 2003 at the age of 74 years. Born in Halifax, NS on December 25, 1928 he was the son of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Tucker) Gilbert. He was a life time member of the Air Force Veterans. He retired in 1988 from Eastern Bakeries as a supervisor. He is survived by his wife Joyce Melda Gilbert, daughter Sherry Lecointe (Buddy) Quispamsis, sons Terry (Linda) of Lower Sackville, NS, and Glenn (Beth) of Moncton. Six grandchildren Mark, Jeff, Courtney, Meaghan, Justin and Sherilynn, sister Dorothy Flemming of Halifax, NS, also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Florence Lewis, Margaret Rhodes, Evelyn Moore, and Jean Glover, brothers Albert, Clarence, Buster and an infant brother Billy. At his request there will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home. The memorial service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at 1:00 pm with Arch Deacon Reginald Stockall Officiating. In Robert's memory, donations made to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by his family.
