ULMONT (MONTY) FRASER MURRAY
MURRAY, ULMONT (MONTY) FRASER - Ulmont (Monty) Fraser Murray of 174 Islandview Drive, Flatlands, NB, passed away on August 5, 2003 at his home. He was 84. Born in Moores Settlement, Que on June 14, 1919 he was the son of the late John (Jack) Murray and Catherine Fraser. Monty was a plumber for CN for 34 years. He was the Deacon of Flatlands Baptist Church and a member of the Orange Lodge and the Canadian Legion. He served overseas in WWII with the North Shore Regiment from 1940-1945. Ulmont is survived by two sons Fraser (Karen) of Flatlands and Phil of Oxbow, Sask. and one sister Kathleen Duncan of Ottawa. He is also survived by his only grandchild Susan Murray, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth, three brothers; Bob, Charlie and Gordon, one sister Phyllis, and his parents. Funeral service will be held from the Flatlands Baptist Church at 2 pm on Friday, August 8, 2003, officiated by Rev. Watson Wiliams. Pallbearers are Basil Kaine, Bill Duncan, Wade Duncan, Dan Mann, Albert Nicol, John Massey, and Greg Ferguson. Interment in the Flatlands Cemetery. Funeral arrangements in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
