51, Port Caledonia It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Everett Wadden at home on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008. Born in Glace Bay, Everett was the son of the late Lawrence and Velma (Whalen) Wadden. Everett is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Kelloway); son, Jeffrey, Cambridge Ont.; daughter, Michelle (Trevor), P.E.I.; brothers, Bobby (Arlene), Port Morien, Brian (Burtha), Port Morien, and sister, Lynn (Bruce), Saskatchewan. Everett is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a special longtime friend, Donald Hopkins. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until funeral time at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at Patten Funeral Home & Chapel, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520, with Rev. Donald MacDonald officiating. Family flowers only please. Donations in Everett’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or charity of one’s choice.
