ALEX DONALD ARMSTRONG
ARMSTRONG, ALEX DONALD - The death of Alex Donald Armstrong of 56 Pleasant Street, St. Stephen, NB occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital on Monday September 1, 2003. Born in St. Stephen, NB he was the son of the late Percy and Agnes (Baxter) Armstrong. During the Second World War he served as a Sgt. Major, CSM with the Royal Canadian Engineers. After the war he worked for the Canadian Cotton Mill, Milltown, NB, then with his brother Jack in construction work and at his retirement, he had worked with the New Brunswick Liquor Commission in St. Stephen. Predeceased by brother, Everett Armstrong and a twin brother, Jack Armstrong, he is survived by his wife, Jean (Ingram) Armstrong; daughter, Nancy Stobo (Wayne) of Waverley, NS; son, Donald Armstrong (Anne) of St. Stephen, NB; sister, Elizabeth Libby (Eldon) of Riverview, NB; brother, Thomas Armstrong of St. Stephen, NB; grand-daughter, Ashley Stobo; sister-in-law, Vera O'Neill of Woodland, Maine; brother-in-law, Sandy Ingram of St. Stephen, NB; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2 pm on Friday at the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery, with Rev. Boyce Martin officiating.
