STUART, RONALD ELWYN - Peacefully, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, on September 11, 2003, Mr. Ronald Elwyn Stuart, husband of Hazel (Lord) Stuart of Leonardville, Deer Island, NB. Born in Leonardville, NB on August 28, 1925, he was the son of the late Leonard and Lillian (Doughty) Stuart. A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he is survived, besides his wife, by one son, Douglas Stuart (Audrey) of Leonardville, NB; one daughter, Beth (Stephen) Lambert of Leonardville, NB; one grandson, Chad (Tanya) Stuart of Lords Cove, NB; one granddaughter, Colleen (Brendan) Green of Leonardville, NB; five great grandchildren, Jared, Ashley, Amanda, Lacey and Madison; several nieces and nephews. Ronald's life was his family, and the commercial fishery to which he devoted over 60 years. He was a member of the Fundy Weir Fisherman's Association. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Blue Jays. Resting at the Leonardville Church of Christ, Leonardville, Deer Island, with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held on Saturday at 2 pm with Rev. Jeff Combs officiating, followed by interment in the Fairhaven Cemetery at Calder's Head. In Ronald's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
