PAUL, ELIZABETH "GRAMMY ZOB" - Mary Elizabeth (Sabattis) Paul, widow of the late Benjamin Paul passed away at the Oromocto Public Hospital on September 13th, 2003. Born in Fredericton on August 30th, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester Sabattis and Bessie (Meuse) Sabattis. She was a long time member of St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church. Elizabeth is survived by six daughters, Gloria (Tom) Buchanan, Mary (Dan) Buchanan, Peggy (Bob Day) Savoie, Helen (Fred) Sabattis, Donna McGrane and Linda (Dave) Primrose; four sons, Joseph (Lori Mitchell), Brian (Cindy Sacobie), Mark and Robert (Cathy Bantam) all of Oromocto, NB and her precious pet dog, Brandi. Elizabeth was also survived by 29 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; several adopted grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends. Elizabeth is also survived by one sister, Evelyn Sacobie of Fredericton, NB; four brothers, Steve (May) Sabattis of Maine, Peter (Maria) of Florida, Harry (Patti) Sabattis of New Hampshire, Robert (Alice) Sabattis of New Hampshire and her chosen sister, Joyce Brooks. Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband and two sons, Donald and Terrance Paul. Visitation will be held at Elizabeth's home on 15 Hiawatha Avenue, Oromocto First Nation beginning Monday, September 15th, 2003 at 3:30 pm and will continue until the time of service. Funeral service will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 17th, 2003 at 11:00 am. Rev. Ken Weir officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with a reception being held afterwards at the church hall. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Darlene Carr, Tanya Estabrooks, Kim Knight, Scott Paul, Terrance Paul and Tim Buchanan. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Elizabeth the family has suggested the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
