LEE, DORIS LIDA - The death of Doris Lida (Hawkes) Lee, wife of the late Gordon Stuart Lee, occurred on September 21, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Maude (Mahaney) Hawkes. She was employed with Canadian Tire and retired from the Royal Bank. She was a member of Glen Falls United Church where she belonged to the UCW. She is survived by her daughters Debra and her husband David Sawers of Guelph, ON, Janet and her husband George Jones of Saint John, Shelley Lee of Saint John, Alison and her husband Patrick Clarke of Lower Sackville, NS, her brother William Hawkes of Saint John, her sister Holly Hawkes of Saint John, her sister-in-law Frances and her husband Leonard Desormeau of Fredericton, her grandchildren Heather, Lesley, Christopher, Jennifer, Ashley, Cole and Colin, two aunts and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2003, at 11:00 AM, from Glen Falls United Church.
