JOSHUA ALEXANDER BOYCOTT
BOYCOTT, JOSHUA ALEXANDER - Joshua Alexander Boycott died suddenly and went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ, on September 26, 2003. He was born on August 14, 1985 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, son of Bill and Sue Boycott. Josh accepted Jesus as his personal Savior at a young age and was baptized while living in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Josh was a talented singer, musician, creative writer, lover of books, and an outstanding scholar. A member of the National Honor Society, he was also one of two students in Alaska selected to attend the American Legion Boys Nation. He served in 2002 as a page for former Senator Frank Murkowski and Senator Lisa Murkowski in Washington, D.C. He had a positive impact on people of any age wherever he went and was a truly exceptional person. He was blessed with exceptional friends from youth groups at First Presbyterian and Friends Community Churches, Lathrop High School, choirs, the UAF Festival of Fine Arts, and contra dancing. He is survived by his parents and brother Ben along with his grandparents Bill and Marilyn Boycott (Goderich, Ontario), Vernon and Ellen Shaw (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), his loving aunts and uncles Steve and Carla Shaw (Truro, Nova Scotia), Derek and Barb Glennis (Ottawa, Ontario), and Eric and Brenda Baker ( Hammonds Plains , Nova Scotia) and cousins Stephanie, Rebecca, and Daniel Shaw, Rachel, Alyssa, and Meghan Glennie, and Will and Jonathan Baker. We do not grieve as those who have no hope. Jesus Christ is sustaining us, and we look forward to our reunion with Josh. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 1st at 4:00pm at the Friends Church, 1485 30th Avenue.
