CARSON, FREDA M. - At the Grand Manan Nursing Home, Saturday October 4th, 2003, Mrs. Freda M. Carson passed away, she was 97. Daughter of the late Norman and Laney (Ellis) Apt of Port Wade, NS and is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Reginald, three sisters Gertrude, Lottie, Rosella, and also four brothers Willard, Percy, Floyd, and Bernard. Visiting hours were held at Ells Funeral Home, Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, and the Funeral service will be held from the Grand Harbour United Baptist Church Monday October 6th, 2003 at 2 PM with Rev. Troy Dennis officiating, interment to follow in the family plot at Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Women's Missionary Society, Grand Harbour Baptist Church.
