ROSS WILLIAM BISHOP

BISHOP, ROSS WILLIAM - Ross William Bishop of Minto, NB, was called home to be with his Lord on October 6th, 2003 at the Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born in Upper Gaspereau, NB, he was the son of the late Abraham and Matilda (Flemming) Bishop. A veteran of both WW2 and the Korean War, Ross retired from NB Coal. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 12, Minto and the Grand lake Masonic Lodge. Ross is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn (Jardine) Bishop; three daughters, Jeanne White (Bob) of Fredericton, Judy Tissington (Bernard) of Saint John and Iris Pitre (Brian) of Minto; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; a sister Cecile Harrison of Chipman; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Regina Beers and four brothers, Royden, Fred, Abraham Jr. and Kenneth. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490) with visitation today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and from where funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 8th, 2003 in the Parker Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Lutes officiating. Interment will take place in the Redbank United Church Cemetery, Chipman, NB. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute service at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm. Members of the Grand Lake Masonic Lodge are invited to attend a tribute service at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7:15 pm.
