McGILL, JOYCE L. - The death of Joyce Lucy McGill of Millidge Avenue, Saint John, wife of the late Donald K. McGill, occurred on Tuesday, October 14, 2003, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Sussex, NB, she was the daughter of the late William Herbert and Kate Allison (Corbitt) Walker. Joyce was a longtime member of Portland United Church. She was a member of the U.C.W., the church choir and was the supply organist at the Church. She is survived by two sons, David Kent McGill of Hartland, NB (Doreen McGill) and Michael Herbert McGill (Jane) of Truro, NS, one daughter, Charlotte Allison McGill (Chris Huntington) of Mahone Bay, NS, one sister, Lois Soderstrom of Edmonton, AB, grandchildren, Joanna and Aaron McGill, Jennifer Ferguson, Julie McGill, Sam and Sophie Huntington, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one grand daughter, Malinda McGill, one brother, Max Walker and one sister, Faye Johansen. By request there will be no visiting at the funeral home. Memorial service will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), on Friday, October 17, 2003 at 2:15 PM. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery.
