HICKEY, DARYL F. - The death of Daryl Frederick Hickey of Mallette Road, husband of Susan (Sprague) Hickey occurred on October 16, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of George and the late Etta (Mitchell) Hickey. Daryl was employed with Canada Post as a Technical Service Representative for 19 years, he was a 10 year participant in Material Handling Event in the annual Canada Post Challenge. Placing numerous times 1st and 2nd, was an avid walker with his wife at Rockwood Park, he was an active member at St. James Anglican Church Lakewood. Besides his wife and father Daryl is survived by one son Trevor, three daughters Andrea, Sarah and Amy all of Saint John, two brothers Raymond (Ann) Hickey of Saint John and Paul Hickey of Thunder Bay, Ontario, four sisters Lorraine (Garnet) Smith of Moncton, Brenda (Peter) Ernst, Wanda (Richard) Letson and Mary (Joe) Mazerolle all of Saint John, his father-in-law Arthur Sprague and mother-in-law Margaret Sprague, several nieces and nephews. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Saturday and Sunday, October 18 and 19, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be celebrated on Monday October 20, 2003 from St. James Anglican Church, Lakewood at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
