KEIRSTEAD, VIOLET ROSE - Mrs. Violet Rose Keirstead, of the Kiwanis Nursing Home, formerly of Collina and Cedar Ave, Sussex, passed away at her residence, at the age of 88. Born in Presque Isle Maine, she was the daughter of the late James and Birdie (Thompkins) Grant and the wife of the late Burton Keirstead who passed away in 1982. Violet is survived by her daughter Madeline Ness (John) of Sussex, her son, Nelson (Marjorie) of Berwick, her sister, Gladys Wainwright of Chipman, 10 grandchildren; 17great grandchildren;, as well as several nieces and nephews. Violet was predeceased by her infant twins James and Margaret, by four brothers Clayton, Robert, Ira and Donald and by a sister Phyllis. Arrangements in care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Friday 2-4, 7-9. The Millstream Valley LOBA # 1389 will hold a tribute Friday evening at 6:45. The Funeral Service is from St. Paul's United Church on Saturday, October 25, 2003 ?at 2:00.
